Popular with both surfers and families, Bantham has something for everyone. And even on windy days you can be entertained by the acrobatics from the numerous kite surfers.

For those wanting a dog-friendly holiday, there are some restrictions for your canine companions on Bantham beach in high season. However, there is access to areas of the sand dunes and estuary beach providing plenty of space, particularly at low tide.

Keen walkers will love the nearby South West Coast Path which runs to Bantham. You can stroll to nearby Thurlestone and Hope Cove or take the seasonal ferry west, across the River Avon. The Avon Estuary walk is a wonderful, long way round taking you to the first bridging point at Aveton Gifford and back, but is for serious hikers as it adds an extra 9 miles to the journey!
