Property reviews for Farthing Cottage
The only criticism I had of Farthing Cottage was the pound in the slot meter which can be a hazard your first visit. It caught me out my first night there and left me flailing around in utter darkness trying to get to the meter from upstairs, and then struggling to put the pound in! I did eventually find the torch which had been thoughtfully left in the meter cupboard which was a big help, and went out next day to buy another LED torch to keep upstairs in case it should happen again!
The cottage was gorgeous and the location together with the views were great. Just be aware that the harbour is a working fishing village harbour and as such the fishing boats and seagulls wake up early so if you are a light sleeper they might just wake you up. Also if you need a shower remember to put the hot water on a hour or so before you shower (switch in cupboard at top of stairs near bedroom puts hot water on) Polperro is a great place with friendly people and good places to eat, if you are thinking about stopping there do it and book via Toad Hall a very professional and hassle free company which I will use and recommend to anybody visiting Cornwell.
Excellent holiday, cottage was very cosy with beautiful views
The Toad Hall person who I met on the Saturday we arrived was wonderfully helpful....we'd come down on the motorbike but the camber on the reserved parking space in the main car park wasn't suitable. When I called into the office to explain the issue she very quickly sorted us out with another reserved space the was suitably flat and had the added bonus of being further down the village....very impressed by the service. Cottage was wonderful, comfortable and with great views... and the wine was a great welcome present!
This was our first experience with Toad Hall Cottages. From the time of booking and throughout the holiday we couldn't have been more looked after. We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend Toad Hall Cottages.

Excellent service from start to finish. a lovely added little treat with the arrival package of wine, tea, coffee and biscuits
We love Polperro and have been visiting the village for forty-six years on a regular basis. We have used Toad Hall as well as other reputable cottage companies and we have never been let down. It was our first stay in Farthing Cottage and it had everything that we required to make our stay comfortable. We had a wonderful time. We will be back hopefully in September, November and December to welcome in 2015.

We had a wonderful time and everything was perfect. We will definitely recommend Toad Hall Cottages to all our family and friends.
The owners were very accommodating as we had to leave a day early (on the Friday) so as the cottage was empty the week before they allowed us to stay from Friday to Friday rather than the usual Saturday to Saturday.
We had a great stay in lovely Polperro.
