This popular sailing resort has two large marinas, two sailing clubs, and also a Roman seawater baths - a popular attraction on a hot summer’s day and only a short walk from the Old Town Quay. This beautiful Hampshire market town is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty; the ancient woodlands and heathlands of the New Forest to the north, and the magnificent Solent views to the south. West of the town lies a four mile stretch of coastal nature reserve which ends at Hurst Spit. During the 19th Century, Lymington was a thriving centre for shipbuilding; it’s also the setting for an abundance of smugglers’ tales with accounts of tunnels running from the old inns and under the High Street to the town quay.</p>
