Just a short drive from the market town of Marazion is the village of Goldsithney where Trelawney, a first floor fully self contained apartment, provides a great base from which to explore Cornwall.
Goldsithney is set back from the tourist rush but it has the accessibility to discover West Cornwall easily. This charming village has a bus stop so you can access Penzance via the lovely Marazion or go on another route where you can sightsee the maritime town, Falmouth via the fishing village of Porthleven. However you decide to travel, Goldsithney is a great base for your holiday and you can easily access many seaside villages, gardens, attractions and of course the beaches around Cornwall.
Goldsithney has 2 popular traditional Cornish pubs along with a post office and general store, where you can buy the basics for the start of your holiday.
Perranuthnoe or as some call it, Perran Sands, is a 20 minute walk from Trelawney and is a great sandy beach at low tide. It is a reputable secluded beach with a few places to eat in the village which are all well known in the area.
Less than two miles from Goldsithney is the bustling town of Marazion with sandy beaches and an array of interesting shops and eateries. Marazion also boasts having St Michaels Mount on its doorstep which is a Cornwall visit must, walking along the famous causeway is a truly a great experience! The towns of Penzance and St Ives are 5 and 10 miles respectively. This part of Cornwall has many different places to access the coastal paths.

Entrance
The apartment is located in the heart of Goldsithney and is accessed from the designated parking space at the rear via a wooden external open-tread staircase. Once inside you will find that the apartment is very well laid out and provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for two.
Bedroom
The apartment accommodation comprises a double bedroom to the rear with a thermostatically controlled wall-mounted electric heater and ample hanging and drawer space.
Shower Room
There is a shower room WC with a good-sized shower tray, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
Living / Dining Room
Completing the accommodation layout to the front of the apartment is the open plan living and dining room with SMART television.
Kitchen
A well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and icebox, electric hob and oven, microwave and a small washing machine.
Heating
The property is efficiently heated by a combination of night store and electric wall-mounted panel heaters.
Whilst there is no designated, outdoor space at this property, thanks to its village location, you are never far away from somewhere to sit and watch the hustle and bustle of this popular and friendly village.

This pretty village sits slightly off the busy tourist trail, yet is only one mile away from Marazion, making it the perfect spot to enjoy the peaceful pace of Cornish life yet easily reach some of the county’s most popular attractions. Within the village, you’ll find two proper Cornish pubs, and a village shop where you can pick up your holiday essentials.
Only a two-minute drive or 20 minute walk away is Marazion, a bustling town with beautiful sandy beaches, lots of shops and galleries, magical sea views and home to mystical St Michael’s Mount. When the tide allows, cross the cobbled causeway on foot, or alternatively hop on a boat and explore the island and its iconic castle; it’s sure to be the highlight of your holiday in Goldsithney. Whilst in Marazion, you can also hire watersports equipment, bikes and sailing boats and explore the great outdoors.
There are many picture-perfect beaches near Goldsithney, the closest being Perranuthnoe (or Perran Sands), a lovely, family-friendly sandy beach, where you’ll also find one of the oldest recorded inns in Cornwall. Jump in the car to the almost tropical beach at Porthcurno, or to Sennen or Praa Sands, also nearby.
Our favourite way to explore the area is on foot, along the seaside trails of the South West Coast Path. The coast path is only a mile away from Goldsithney, providing the gateway to historic fishing harbours, secret coves and sweeping bays. Dog walkers, families, couples and walking enthusiasts will all love discovering West Cornwall’s hidden beauty spots.
One of the best things about a holiday in Goldsithney is that you're never far from the region’s most popular towns and attractions. Within an easy drive you can stand at Land’s End, watch a performance at the magnificent Minack Theatre, stroll along the ancient streets of Penzance, soak up the stunning views of Mousehole harbour or visit St Ives and its many art galleries.
With so much to see and do, there’s always something to keep you entertained no matter what time of year you choose to visit. Just opposite the famous landmark of St Michael’s Mount lies Marazion Beach. Relax and take in the atmosphere in the Cornish sunshine, walk to St Michael’s Mount at low tide along the granite causeway, watch kite surfers zoom up and down the length of the beach or try out paddle boarding or sailing. With many rock pools to explore and facilities for sailing and windsurfing lessons there is always something to do on Marazion beach. Dogs are welcome expect between 1 May and end of September when a seasonal dog ban is in place.
Visited three times in early March, ideal parking on seafront, beautiful views, level walking, plenty going on including kite surfing and wind surfing. Jordans take away excellent. Public toilets nearby.

When you visit Praa Sands you will be struck by how white the sand is, blinding in the sunshine and making the water a beautiful turquoise colour. This mile long sandy beach is backed with sheltering sand dunes and is easily accessible from the car park, perfect for families who can enjoy the shallow water, build sand dunes and bask in the sunshine while surfers can take on the surprisingly big waves out back.

Found at the mouth of the Hayle estuary, just two miles from the town of St Ives is a vast expansion of sands which can stretch up to a mile out to sea at low tide. The beach is backed by sand dunes and the West Cornwall Golf Club. There is life guard cover in the summer and the beach is dog friendly all year.
Carbis Bay Beach

Carbis Bay is a northeast facing beach that rarely has any surf, making it an ideal spot for families and toddlers to paddle and swim in the calmer waters. At around a mile long, the golden sands of Carbis Bay are surrounded by sub-tropical plants and turquoise waters which might just have you thinking you’re somewhere much further south! Dogs are banned on the beach between Easter and 30 September.
