Leyside is a sweet, fresh and very comfortable, semi-detached cottage that overlooks the beautiful Slapton Ley, a freshwater inland lake that is separated from the sea by a three mile long shingle ridge. Set in the middle of the thriving village of Torcross, there is no need to get in the car as the beach, with watersport facilities, is on the doorstep, an excellent pub/restaurant and tea rooms are a few yards walk, there is a good local post office/village stores from which to buy the groceries and the National Nature Reserve of Slapton Ley is a haven for bird wildlife enthusiasts , all this and more to enjoy from the cottage!

Accommodation: The rear stable door is approached through a shared courtyard and opens to a small lobby/cloaks area. Pretty kitchen with a tiled floor, pine table to seat 4 and electric cooker, fridge with icebox, washing machine and microwave oven. Door into an attractive sitting room with an open fireplace set in a Victorian hearth, comfortable sofa, two chairs, Sky TV with Freesat Sky package, video/DVD player, stereo/CD player and library of DVDs, videos and CDs supplied. Front door (rarely used) to the roadside and a window overlooks the Ley. Downstairs shower room with large shower enclosure, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Carpeted stairs to two bedrooms. Pretty double bedroom, with an attractive 4ft 6in wrought iron bedstead, fitted wardrobes, good views and decorative fireplace (not for use). Single bedroom with 3ft 3in bed and pull out bed beneath that forms a large double bed (bed made up with two single quilts), sea glimpses between the houses to the rear.

Outside: A path leads around the side of the cottage through a marked gate and into a small courtyard, supplied with washing line. This also provides access to the rear of the neighbouring cottage. The path continues on a few yards to the promenade, sea wall and beach.

Included: Duvets, pillows, bed linen between beginning of May and end August (not towels) and electricity.
Bed linen between beginning September and end April and towels may be able to be hired from an independent hire company - details from Toad Hall Cottages.
Heating (night store and electric panel heaters) from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week. Logs can be purchased from the village stores.
Pets: One well behaved dog welcome (no dog restrictions on the beach). Pet Charge: £25.00 per pet per week.

in marked bays immediately opposite the cottage. A season ticket is provided for one car.
