No. 12 is one of a small cluster of exclusive, comfortable and very stylish stone and timber clad lodges. Situated in 40 acres of rolling countryside on the side of a beautiful wooded valley between the villages of Pillaton and St Mellion and adjacent to the St Mellion International Resort - one of Europe's premier resorts for both golf and leisure. The lodge rental includes two golf and leisure membership passes, which provide free golf on the championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and the St Mellion Kernow course. Additional guests receive 20% discount on the Nicklaus and 40% on the Kernow courses. Also included is reduced buggy hire; free use of the sports and leisure facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool, large leisure pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool, gymnasium and tennis courts. Leisure and golf usage can be simultaneous, so two non-golfers can use the leisure facilities while the golfers are out on the course and there is also a spa offering a variety of treatments - charges apply. Reached up a long private drive the lodges are tucked on the side of the hill in landscaped gardens with wonderful views that overlook a canopy of green trees towards the 13th hole of the Nicklaus course. A private buggy path links the lodge directly to the St Mellion buggy path network, providing quick and easy access to the club's wonderful facilities, with the clubhouse only a pleasant 15 minute stroll away. Not only is this a must for keen golfers - but it is also a wonderful relaxing retreat for families and couples at any time of the year, with numerous tourist attractions, beaches and beautiful scenery within easy reach.
Accommodation: Entrance hallway. Stairs to a stylish, light and spacious living room with vaulted ceilings and open fire. Extensive picture windows with Venetian blinds give woodland views and the large lounge area is furnished with a leather L shaped sofa, flat screen TV with Sky Freeview and DVD. French doors open onto a covered balcony that extends along the front of the property with table and chairs, providing a delightful spot for al fresco dining or that evening aperitif. Dining area with seating for 6. Well equipped kitchen with attractive cream fitted units, electric hob, built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, larder fridge and separate freezer, with a breakfast bar and two stools. Downstairs are three bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, the master with bath, basin and WC, the others with shower, hand basin and WC. The master bedroom has a 4ft 6in bed and fitted cupboards. The second double bedroom has a 4ft 6in bed with a half height wardrobe and drawers. A further twin bedroom has two 3ft beds and small wardrobe.
Outside: From the ample parking area, steps lead up through landscaped gardens that extend without enclosure around the five properties in the group. To the front of the lodge is a built-in barbecue. At the rear is a large decked area with garden furniture provided for al fresco dining (southerly aspect).
