1 Freelands Cottage is a pretty, Grade II Listed, thatched cottage in the popular village of Manaton, deep in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. Absolutely charming and comfortably furnished, this is the perfect spot for walking and exploring the stunning moorland of Dartmoor. Many rocky Tors interrupt the sweeping open moorland, such as nearby Hound Tor, Haytor and Bowerman's Nose. Close by is Widdecombe-in-the-moor, lovely for a day visit, it hosts an annual fair and is home to Uncle Tom Cobley and All! The famous Becky Falls, that tumble 70 feet beneath a canopy of oaks, is within a mile of the cottage.

Accommodation:
Front door into sitting room with granite walls and original beams, and feature inglenook fireplace inset with a wood burner. Plenty of comfortable seating and TV with DVD. Arch through to small kitchen equipped with electric oven, washing machine, microwave and fridge with ice box. Step up from the sitting room to a hall/dining area with table and four chairs and access to the side of the cottage. Upstairs to a pretty double bedroom with attractive 4ft 6in bed and twin room with 3ft beds, both with fitted wardrobes. Smart shower room with power shower, washbasin and WC. 

Outside: The cottage is protected from the lane by a small garden. At the side is an enclosed gated patio area that can be used for parking for one car or for sitting outside with table and chairs provided.

Three full sized mountain bicycles available for use at own risk.

Included: Bed linen , (not towels) and summer electricity. (No cot or high chair)
Heating (Eco-warm radiators which  produce instant economical heat) & winter electricity from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £15 per week. Woodburner laid up and ready for use.
Parking for one car off road, furthur on road  parking available.
