Dulverton, the gateway to southern Exmoor is a most attractive, hospitable little riverside town maintaining a strong identity of its own through its highly individual shops and is tucked alongside the beautiful River Barle, deep in the wooded folds of Exmoor. Not far from the centre this charming semi-detached cottage can be found, overlooking the river and perched above the road that winds up through ancient oak woods to the high moorland. 2 Highcroft has large windows most of which have views across the valley through the trees, is stylishly comfortable and a delightful spot from which to explore this beautiful area. Come here to soak up the scenery, from the steep sided valleys clothed in dense oakwood, heather covered moorland and clear flowing rivers to the remarkable coastline where plunging cliffs and woods meet the sea. Exmoor offers uninterrupted natural beauty on a grand scale, so the walking and riding is unsurpassed.

Accommodation:
Front door into small hall off which is an attractive sitting room with wood burner, sofa, chairs, flat screen TV with DVD and lovely wooded views. Open plan kitchen/dining room with dining table to seat 6. The kitchen area is well fitted and equipped with painted units, electric cooker, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. A feature of the room is a large window that looks onto the cliff face at the rear of the cottage. A side door leads into a porch with tumble dryer and access to the steps at the side of the cottage. Stairs to the landing. Double bedroom with fine views and 4ft 6in double bed, fitted cupboard and wash hand basin. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds, large wardrobe and views. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.

Outside: A steep zig zag gated path with steps leads to the cottage from the road below. A railed terrace runs along the front of the cottage and at the side a series of steep steps rise up the cliff face at the rear of the cottage to a small decked, railed platform with superb views across the valley. Children will need supervision in this area.

Note: Regret no children under 10 years and not suitable for elderly or infirm due to the nature of the outside steps.

Heating (night storage) from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £20 per week.
Pets: One small dog welcome. Pet charge £25 per week.
Parking: On road parking is possible in places along the road below, alternatively the town car park (weekly season tickets available) five minutes' walk.
