This traditional cottage provides a welcoming and comfortable dwelling, situated in a very peaceful spot in the pretty village of Slapton, close to the sea. The village is full of pretty thatched cottages and narrow lanes, has a thriving local community and two welcoming pubs serving great food. Slapton is within walking distance of the three mile shingle beach at Torcross and the famous Slapton Ley national nature reserve, so this makes a great destination for nature lovers and walkers alike.  For those who love the beach, Blackpool Sands, a lovely  beach set in a beautiful bay is just a few miles away and if you continue along the coast road for a few more miles you reach the historic naval port of Dartmouth.  From here you can catch a ferry and
meander up the beautiful estuary to bohemian Totnes, a pretty market town with a unique atmosphere. The cottage has a sunny south facing garden in which to relax at the end of the day and provides a perfect base from which to experience all that Devon has to offer.

Accommodation
Front door opens into a delightful beamed open plan living room with inglenook fireplace set in a feature brick hearth inset with a woodburner. The sitting area is well furnished with a sofa, two armchairs and TV/DVD with Freeview.  The dining area has a pine table and chairs to seat 4 and the well fitted and equipped kitchen has an electric hob, built-under oven, refrigerator with ice box, microwave and door to rear of cottage and a separate utility room with washing machine and WC. Narrow stairs up to two pretty bedrooms. Double bedroom with a 4ft 6in bed and fitted cupboard. Bunk bedroom with a set of new 3ft bunks and wardrobe.  Shower room with electric shower in corner cubicle, hand basin and WC.

Outside: The cottage is reached along a walkway across the front of a row of cottages and benefits from a pretty south facing front garden with patio area with table and chairs, a lawn and decked area under a cherry tree at the end of the garden. A garden shed contains a table and two chairs. To the rear of the cottage is a walkway providing access to the other properties (rarely used).
