6 and 7 School Steps was sympathetically converted from two traditional 18th century fishermen's cottages to create an enchanting and spacious holiday home with not only exceptional views over the rooftops of Darmouth to the Dart and out to sea, but also a sunny garden with covered barbecue area and parking. The accommodation is arranged with the living area on the upper level to take advantage of the scenery, with the three good sized bedrooms below. There is plenty to do in Dartmouth, but it is difficult not to just sit and relax in the lounge or garden, soaking up the view and watching the bustling boating scene unfold below you. A few yards from the front door are steps down to the town and quayside where you will find a myriad of narrow streets and interesting shops full of curios. There are hosts of traditional inns and restaurants, including Mitch Tonks' Seahorse restaurant, or for brunch try the popular Alf Resco. For those who like the beach, golden Blackpool Sands is just a few miles away, alternatively catch the ferry across the water to Kingswear and board the steam train to Goodrington Sands or journey a little further to visit Torbay and the English Riviera.

 Accommodation: Kitchen with built-in units, ceramic tiled work surfaces, double sink, gas hob, eye level electric oven and grill, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Dining area with table and six chairs, unusual wooden upright piano and stairs down to the lower level. The living room area has a three seater and a two seater sofa, TV and micro sound system, wicker coffee table and three wicker chairs. Polished wood floor and colourful rugs throughout. From the dining area, stairs lead down to the lower ground level where there is a twin bedroom to one side, a single bedroom to the other and a glazed door to the garden. Lower level: Twin bedroom with 3ft beds, single bedroom with 3ft bed, walk in cupboard/wardrobe and door to double bedroom, 4ft. 6in. double bed and built in wardrobe. Door through to second staircase, glazed door to garden and bathroom with bath, basin, bidet and WC. This staircase leads back up to the kitchen and has a utility room at the top with washing machine and tumble dryer. Please note: The utility room has a very low ceiling; most adults will have to stoop.

Outside: Large covered patio with garden table, four chairs and two sun loungers. A covered walkway runs along the side of the cottage. Garden with small circular lawn, extensive collection of pots, plants, flowers, and shrubs around a paved patio with magnificent views of the marina, estuary, Kingswear (opposite) Dartmouth Castle and the sea.
