Buckland Court is located in delightful countryside 1.5 miles from the historic village of Slapton with its world famous nature reserve, 3 mile beach and excellent real ale pubs. Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are within fifteen minutes drive, both with interesting shops, fine restaurants, boat trips, sailing and much more. Totnes, a quaint Elizabethan town, is 9 miles away and Dartmoor, with wonderful walking and spectacular scenery, is within easy reach. Buckland is extremely well situated for a wide range of both indoor and outdoor pursuits and is close to some of the best sandy beaches in the South West.
The cottages are set around a pretty lower courtyard with summer hanging baskets, vines, a shady mimosa tree and benches. They are very comfortable and well furnished. The kitchens are well equipped with gas hobs, cooker extractor hoods, built-under ovens, fridges and microwaves. All beds are standard size (4ft 6in doubles, 3ft singles). The bathrooms all have a shower over the bath, hand basin and WC. All cottages have a gas fire in the living area. There is a large communal laundry room with coin operated washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. All cottages are equipped with iron, ironing board, TV and most have a VCR.
The resident caretaker is conversant in both German and French.

Outside: An archway in the corner of the lower courtyard (separated by a substantial gate) opens out to a large pond, populated by ducks and geese, and a sweep of 1.5 acre grounds including a grassy area suitable for outdoor games, an orchard and a large built-in barbecue with picnic benches beside the lower pond, where guests can relax and
children play.

Beeches Accommodation
Beeches Cottage is the largest at Buckland Court, has full central heating and sleeps 6 to 8 people in three bedrooms with full-size beds, and a sofa bed in the living room. Beeches Cottage's spacious living and dining accommodation means that it can be used in conjunction with neighbouring cottages as the base for larger parties and yet it is cosy enough for intimate family holidays.
Downstairs, a striking feature of the cottage is its spacious open plan living and dining room. The dining area has a maple laminated floor and a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, freezer and dishwasher. There is a step down to the large living area with two big three seater sofas (one being a full-sized sofa-bed) and three armchairs. There is a TV, DVD, video and a stereo system.
Upstairs a huge picture window looks out from the landing over the orchard and gardens. The master suite comprises a large double bedroom with sofa and TV and an en-suite bathroom. The bedroom has views over the duck ponds and gardens across rolling countryside towards Dartmoor. There are two further good sized twin bedrooms each with two 3ft beds and a second bathroom. Both the family bathroom and the en-suite have showers over the baths.

A travel cot, high chair and stairgate are provided.
One well behaved dog only. Pet charge £20 per pet per week.
