Birchy Lake

Birchy Lake

Belstone

Self catering holiday cottage

Dartmoor

Birchy Lake and Birchy Lake Too are two delightful period cottages, tucked on the side of a sheltered valley overlooking the upper reaches of the Taw river and Dartmoor, on the edge of the picturesque village of Belstone within Dartmoor National Park and home to the famous "Belstone Fox". Although peacefully situated on the moor, the cottages are very accessible, being only just over a mile from the A30. There are doorstep walks from both the cottages to open moorland, picnics by the river, riding at nearby stables, pub lunches at the local a short stroll away, all this to enjoy from these two very special romantic hideaways. Both cottages are comfortably furnished in keeping with the period and retain nearly all the original features. Guests will be totally spoilt on arrival, to find a delicious Devonshire clotted cream tea with homemade scones, fresh flowers on the table and a bottle of fizzy in the fridge, all included in the price. What more could one ask apart from the right partner!
Guests have free use of the owners' private outdoor heated swimming pool from May.

Birchy Lake Accommodation:
