Toad Hall Cottages

The three properties at Bowood Farm, adjoining the farmhouse, are within the farm's south facing courtyard and set amongst peaceful open countryside with fine views. These attractive cottages have all been restored and renovated each retaining it's own character. They are ideally located for touring the North Devon and Cornish coastline. For the energetic it is only two miles from the dramatic coastal path and quayside of Bideford, with tennis, golf and indoor swimming; for the children Westward Ho! with its superb sandy beach is just 3 miles away; for the gardening enthusiast Rosemoor R.H.S. is a mere 10 miles and for walkers and riders Exmoor beckons from 19 miles. The added attractions of Atlantic Village, Clovelly and The Big Sheep are all close by. Half a mile stroll brings you to the village with church, post office and thatched pub.
There are nine acres of fields to be explored. Guests to Bowood Farm Cottages have the use of a covered Dutch barn, recently re-furbished and provided with football table, table tennis table, pool table, badminton net (equipment provided), together with hop-scotch and giant snakes and ladders floor mats. The toddlers' corner has a 'Thomas' pool ball pit, tricycles, scooters and skittles. Cricket and Rounders equipment is provided for use on the fields.
A cream tea awaits visitors.

Outside: Each cottage has a small, enclosed garden (garden furniture supplied), with a secure gate to the fields beyond, part post and rail fenced and part stock-proof fenced.

Horshoe Barn Accommodation:
Hall leading to a spacious beamed sitting room with comfortable seating for 8, TV/video and doors to a small garden. Glazed doors to the diner/kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee percolator, sandwich toaster, fridge/freezer, pine table, 8 chairs and 2 high chairs. Ground floor bedroom (4ft 6in bed and cot), with an adjacent shower room with shower, basin and WC. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Luggage cupboard. Upstairs to bathroom with bath, electric shower over, basin and WC. Three further bedrooms, one double (4ft 6in bed) and two with twin beds (3ft beds), one with a cot. Each bedroom has a pine wardrobe, dressing table and bedside tables with drawer space. Horseshoe Barn is now friendly to wheelchair users. Access is via a concrete ramp and there is a rail in the downstairs WC. A shower chair, an over bed/chair table and tools for those with gripping difficulties are also provided.

Double security doors on the ground floor can be opened to make one spacious unit comfortably accommodating up to 14 adults and 3 infants (availability permitting).

Duvets, pillows, bed linen, towels, cots, high chairs included.
Heating - in each cottage there are storage heaters in the hall and main rooms, these and hot water are on Economy 7. In every other room there is an electric radiator which, when necessary, can be set to time and temperature required. All electricity on £1 slot meters.
Pets: Dogs are welcome but must be sheep friendly and kept downstairs. Pet charge £20 per pet per week.
