Bunkers Farm House is a stone built, detached, former farmhouse, originally built in the early 19th Century. Now it is a spacious and stylishly decorated country house, located on the edge of East Allington, a picturesque South Hams village. Bunkers has an impressive arched front entrance and overlooks fields and open countryside with a popular 'olde worlde' village inn, renowned for its warm welcome and good food, close by. Although a quiet backwater, East Allington is conveniently situated for the market town of Kingsbridge, the scenic estuaries of Salcombe and Dartmouth and the many spectacular coves and beaches of the South Hams.
Accommodation
A wooden gate opens into an arched porch with step up into the house through a stable style front door. Hall, door to a spacious beamed living room with a large recessed window to the front, sliding glass patio doors to the rear, beamed alcove and gas effect "woodburner" set into a stone fireplace. It is very comfortably furnished with two 2 seater sofas, two easy chairs, TV, DVD/video and a selection of DVDs and videos. The dining room also has a beamed ceiling and large window to the front with a pine dining table and seating for six. The hallway leads through to a small back lobby with door into kitchen, cloak stand and door to the patio and garden. The kitchen has fitted units and cupboards to two sides, double electric oven and hob, single drainer sink, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, radio/CD player and a circular drop leaf table with two chairs. Freezer and dryer in the garage. Upstairs: wide staircase to a spacious landing with windows at both ends. Double bedroom with 4ft 6in double bed, dressing table and double wardrobe. Twin bedroom with 3ft beds, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Single bedroom with 3ft bed and single wardrobe. Bathroom with bath and shower over, basin, bidet and WC. Separate loo with basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Outside: Narrow walled garden to the front of the house. At the back is a walled, private enclosed patio area and small garden with table and chairs, barbecue, raised border flower bed and shrubs. To one side of the house is access to the back garden and a single garage.
Property: Self-catering holiday cottage
Included: Duvets, pillows, bed linen, (not towels), cot, high chair and summer calor gas and electricity.
Heating: Night storage and electric Dimplex wall heaters in kitchen and bathroom, calor gas effect "woodburner" in the lounge area. Winter gas and electricity end of September to the spring bank holiday £25 per week.

Parking: Single garage with hard standing from the road. Also further parking space on the road opposite.
Beaches Torcross and Slapton 4.5 miles. Shop Totnes Cross filling station 3 miles or Kingsbridge 5 miles, country inn encompassing a contemporary restaurant opposite (well known for good food).
