Church Gate Cottage is a picturesque thatch cottage in an excellent location for access to Salcombe, beaches at North and South Sands and the seaside village of Hope Cove. As the name suggests it is just a few yards from the church end of the village of Malborough, along side an attractive village street, of this typical Devonshire village. Malborough has a vibrant community that puts on regular amateur dramatics, live folk music and even has its own music festival. Originally two cottages, Church Gate Cottage is Grade II listed and has recently been carefully refurbished to a very high standard. Its cosy, comfortable and friendly environment makes it a first class choice of holiday accommodation.
Accommodation:
Thatched porch, front door into lobby and entrance to spacious, light, bright, ceramic floor tiled and beamed dining room with woodburner set back in fireplace with interesting heavy timber lintel over. Dining table and chairs to seat 6, wood staircase to bedrooms. To one side of the fireplace is an opening to the living room and the other to the kitchen. One step up to the carpeted living room, with 3 seater sofa, 2 easy chairs, ornamental granite fireplace (not for use), TV/DVD/video and stereo radio/CD player. Galley style kitchen with built in oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and stable door to outside yard.
Upstairs, master bedroom with 5ft. brass bedstead, deep set window and large built in clothes and storage cupboard. Twin bedroom with two 3ft. single beds and built in wardrobe. Single bedroom with 2ft. 6in. bed, built in wardrobe and window seat. Spacious bathroom with white suite, bath, shower over, basin and WC. Separate WC and basin.
Outside: At the back of the cottage there is a small area with table and two chairs and access around neighbouring cottages to the front. In front of the cottage is a wooden bench in a sunny position facing the access lane with bordering bushes and shrubs.

Duvets, pillows, bed linen, travel cot and summer electricity included.
Central heating (electric) and woodburner, starter wood supplied, bags of logs may be bought from the garage at the other end of the village. Winter electricity, from the end of September to Spring Bank Holiday, £20 per week
Pets One well behaved dog welcome. Pet charge £20.00 per pet per week.

Parking Drop off/pick up parking in front of the cottage. Longer stay, free parking, bays to the right of the cottage or in Luckhams Lane, reached through a narrow interconnecting lane.
Beaches, Hope Cove 2 miles, North and South Sands approx. 2 miles. Shop and bakery at Malborough garage, 300 yards, two village pubs and Churchill Bistro, 50 yards, shop/post office almost opposite. Salcombe 2 miles, Kingsbridge 5 miles.
