Coach House

Coach House

Tavistock

Self catering holiday house

Dartmoor

The Coach House is a charming, detached, former coach house that faces across its own spacious and attractive garden, is surrounded by farmland and is situated down a long private driveway in the beautiful grounds of Wonwood House and farm. With attractive open country views over the Tamar Valley towards Kit Hill, the highest point in East Cornwall, to the west and Dartmoor to the east, this all on one level cottage, is lovely, a real retreat, beautifully and comfortably furnished, ideal for a couple or small family at any time of the year. Situated in a lovely unspoilt part of west Devon, close to the Cornish border, there are unlimited places to enjoy within easy reach. Names to conjure with are Buckland Abbey the home of Sir Francis Drake, Cotehele (NT), Morwellham Quay, the Eden Project and then there are endless stretches of sandy beaches at Bude and the north coast, pretty fishing villages like Crackington Haven, the rocky tors of Dartmoor to explore and the beautiful Tamar valley for sailing and canoeing.

Accommodation
Front door into hallway with two cupboards, one housing a washing machine and the other for coats/clothes hanging. Delightful, very bright and attractive living room with plenty of windows over-looking the gardens and country views, wood laminate floor, two sofas, flat screen TV with DVD and dining table to seat 4. The smart kitchen area is beautifully equipped and has an electric double oven cooker with halogen hob, fridge with ice-box and microwave. Off the hallway are two bedrooms; a most attractive double bedroom with pretty 5ft wrought iron bedstead and a small single room with 3ft bed. A sliding door leads into the bathroom with a tiled floor and generous corner bath, shower over, basin and WC.

Outside: The cottage sits alongside the owner's house but entirely faces over its own private large area of attractive garden, bordered by hedges with farmland beyond. A spreading tree provides shade on hot days and there is teak garden table, chairs and benches. In a shady corner is a large railed dog kennel, that by arrangement with the owners, can be used for housing pets when visiting local dog-restricted areas. Wonwood House driveway leads behind the house to an ample parking area beside the cottage.
