This beautifully restored 400 year old cottage has been modernised by the owners to a high level of comfort with carefully preserved period features and furnished with attractive classic antique pieces, thereby retaining the character and ambience of this delightful, surprisingly spacious pretty cottage. Peacefully situated in a quiet, narrow, little used lane, on the outskirts of the village and within easy walking distance of the local watering hole, Cob Cottage is the middle one of three attractive terraced cottages and has the benefit of a natural, unspoilt one third acre of semi-woodland garden, adjoining open meadowland.

Accommodation
Walkway from the lane to patio and enclosed entrance porch/hall. Most attractive and very comfortable sitting room with original Inglenook open fireplace with bread oven, ceiling beams
and window seat. Sofa, armchairs, small TV/video, CD/stereo, desk in small study recess with telephone. Dining room (can be used as a children's play room), with piano, table with bench seating and chairs for 8. Kitchen with electric double oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, table with bench seating and chairs. Utility room with fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and door to small back yard. Cloakroom with basin and WC. From the sitting room a steep staircase (stairgate at the top) leads to a small landing. Delightful, romantic double bedroom with 5ft bed, TV, radio/cassette player. En-suite bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, WC and heated towel rail. Small double bedroom with iron bedstead (4ft 6in). Triple room with 3 x 3ft beds with iron bedsteads and CD/radio. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, WC and heated towel rail. To retain the character of the cottage there are no wardrobes in the bedrooms. Hanging hooks are on the back of every bedroom door and ample good quality large chests of drawers.

Outside: South facing patio, garden furniture and BBQ. The delightful, private natural garden is situated across the lane adjoining a field with areas of grass, mature trees, shrubs, hammocks, tables, benches, steamer chairs, a trampoline (guests to use entirely at own risk) and part woodland with mown walkways.

Heating (night storage) end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week. Some logs provided.

Sandy beach at Bantham 4 miles, pubs in Kingsbridge with excellent food 5 minutes walk. Shop half mile.
