Collacott Barn is a charming, spacious detached, reverse level barn conversion set in a lovely, secluded and large private garden. The property is in a very peaceful, rural location on the edge of the village of South Milton just a mile from the sandy stretches of South Milton and Thurlestone Sands. This spacious and most comfortable home-from-home accommodation is tucked at the end of a secluded driveway, has plenty of level garden space for summer games and offers all the comforts for both a seaside and countryside holiday. This is a wonderful base for family holidays, yet ideal for smaller groups in the low and mid season to take advantage of the proximity of the South West Coast path with magnificent headland walks to Thurlestone in one direction and Hope Cove and Salcombe in the other.
Accommodation
Steps up to enclosed porch and door into the very spacious living area that is split into three distinct areas. Most attractive carpeted sitting room, very comfortably furnished with three large sofas, TV with DVD/video, corner open fireplace and double French doors that open to a raised railed deck balcony, furnished with table, chairs and with attractive country and village views. The dining area is partly divided from the sitting room and has pine table to seat 8, pine dresser and open brick fireplace. The very spacious kitchen area has polished wood work surfaces, plenty of built-in cupboards, TV/video, electric cooker with double oven, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, microwave, large fridge/freezer, circular table to seat 4 and French doors leading to the barbecue terrace.
Spiral granite stairs with a fixed stair gate at the top, lead down to the bedrooms that are all furnished in pine. Small double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed. Two single bedrooms both with 3ft beds. Bathroom with bath, hand shower, basin and WC. Separate shower room with shower cubicle. Spacious ante room bedroom with a single 3ft bed and fitted wardrobes. An extra put-up bed is provided here for a child. Door access to the rear of the property. A door from this room leads into the spacious master bedroom with 5ft bed, large range of fitted wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.
Outside: A fairly steep gated driveway leads down to a large level ample parking area that extends out to wide level lawns bordered by shrubs and trees. (Note: this area is not fenced, although bushes and brambles provide a barrier, but as the neighbouring property has a large pond small children will need to be supervised in the garden). At one end of the property is an attractive raised patio area with built-in barbecue, table and benches.
