Driftwood is a thatched cottage in the centre of the village of Malborough. Within easy reach of a wealth of sandy beaches, wonderful walks along the magnificent South Devon coastline and the popular family town of Salcombe with all its boating, watersport and shopping amenities.
A house for all seasons, Driftwood has been completely refurbished to create a modern country-cottage look, combining contemporary living with Devon period-house charm. An architectural garden laid to patio, including built-in barbecue, provides additional space for sun-lounging and alfresco dining.
With its own car parking space, this is a delightful holiday cottage from which to indulge yourself in all this special part of the South Hams has to offer. One you'll want to come back to over and over again.
Accommodation:
The front door opens directly into a large living room. This attractive open plan room has low beams (tall people mind your head!) and a feature inglenook fireplace inset with a woodburner. The room has wooden floors, a dining table to seat 6 and a sitting area with a three-seater sofa and chairs. A wall mounted flat screen TV with freeview is provided along with a DVD player and separate CD/radio/MP3 player. Fully fitted tiled kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with icebox, and washer-dryer machine. Off the rear hallway is a newly fitted bathroom with rose head shower over bath, basin and WC.
Carpeted stairs from the living area (please note low headroom) to three bedrooms; a pretty double bedroom 4ft 6in bed with hanging hooks, a twin bedroom with 3ft wrought iron beds and fitted wardrobe and a bunk bedroom with built-in 2ft 6in beds and sturdy ladder. Please note there is no natural light in this room and it is only suitable for children.
Outside: The cottage has its own attractive fenced and enclosed garden that is reached along a communal pathway that also provides access to other gardens. There is an arbour, paved patio area with table and chairs and built-in brick barbecue- a delightful spot for alfresco meals. (There is a right of way at one side of the garden to a neighbouring garden).

Included duvets, pillows, bed linen, travel cot, high chair (not towels) and summer electricity.
Heating (Electric wall panel heaters) and winter electricity from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week. Wood burner, starter logs supplied, further supplies may be purchased in the village

Pets One well behaved dog welcome. Pet charge £20 per pet per week.

Beaches, Hope Cove 2 miles, North and South Sands approx. 2 miles. Shop/post office a few yards down the road, two village pubs and Churchill Bistro, a few yards. Boating and water sports at Salcombe 2 miles, Kingsbridge 5 miles.
