Swimbridge is located in the heart of North Devon countryside, south east of the ancient port of Barnstaple and within easy reach of the North Devon coast, its beautiful stretches of sandy beaches, Exmoor and the seaside resorts of Westward Ho! and Ilfracombe. Barnstaple Hill is a gentle descent on the approach into this delightful village. Hunter's Rest, one of a row of 19th century terraced cottages faces a wide, open landscape of fields, trees, and rich green rolling hills. The cottage is comfortably furnished and well equipped for small families, couples or friends sharing, who want a base from which to enjoy and explore this wonderful part of Devon.

Steps lead to a porched entrance, front door into small lobby and door into living room with open cast iron Victorian fireplace, mahogany parquet flooring with rug, 2 two seater sofas, portable colour TV/video and CD/radio. Door into kitchen with fitted cupboards, polished oak worktops, electric oven and hob, Rayburn, microwave, butler sink, washing machine, fridge/freezer, walk in larder, dining table with seating for 4. Stairs from entrance lobby to landing with attractive stained glass window, master bedroom to the front with 4'6" bed, ornamental fireplace, large window with views across landscape. Bedroom with bunk beds. Bathroom with bath, hand held shower, basin and WC.

Outside: Back door from kitchen into small yard with wood and coal supply, steps to path leading to elevated garden. Good sized garden with lawn, bench seat, two chairs, table, barbecue in the form of an old cast iron cottage range cooker and views across countryside.

Special note: Possible use of horse paddock by prior arrangement with caretaker.

Please note that young children will need supervision on the steps and in the garden.

Heating (night storage in front room and on landing), portable heaters provided for bedrooms and electricity from end September to Spring Bank Holiday, logs for open fire and coal for Rayburn £20 per week
