Colmer, a really lovely 18th Century country estate that has been beautifully restored, is set in 28 acres of its own lovely private grounds which include woodland, a fishing lake and meadows. The estate is centrally situated in the heart of the South Hams and within easy reach of many beautiful beaches, Dartmoor and the pretty towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Modbury, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. There are numerous excellent golf courses in the area but Colmer has a guest membership link with Dartmouth Golf and Country Club (approximately 15 minutes drive) and benefits from a 25% discount on access to all the leisure facilities in addition to the championship standard golf course. However, with the fantastic facilities of Colmer on the doorstep there really is no need to get in the car at all! Whilst there is plenty to occupy busy people at Colmer, there are many places within the extensive grounds of this lovely place for those seeking peace and tranquillity in an idyllic location.

Jays Cottage Accommodation
Jay's Cottage, a charming terraced cottage, once part of the 'maltings', has beamed ceilings, some interesting stone features and is most attractively and comfortably furnished, very much a home-from-home country property in this lovely spot.

The front door leads into a really delightful living room with lots of personal touches, com-fortable sofa and chairs, digital TV/DVD and video, feature stone fireplace inset with electric burner and dining table to seat 4. The open plan kitchen area is well fitted and equipped with electric hob and built-in oven, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washer/dryer. Upstairs to two pretty bedrooms, one double with 4ft 6in bed and fitted wardrobe and a small twin room with 2ft 6in pine beds. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.
Outside: In front of the cottage, and tucked in a secluded corner is an enclosed sunny courtyard with table, chairs, parasol and barbecue, ideal for al-fresco meals. Facilities as above included.
