Close to the Devon/Cornwall border and only a couple of miles from the west side of Dartmoor, Chillaton is an attractive very peaceful, rural village in the heart of the Devon countryside. Little Forda is a charmingly converted and very comfortable dairy attached to the 15th century country house of Forda, set in its own enclosed grounds on the edge of the village. Only 6 miles from the ancient stannary town of Tavistock, close to the wonderful Lydford Gorge, (for gourmets the Horn of Plenty is a mere two miles) Little Forda, with its very welcoming owners, cosy and attractive beamed rooms, and with very spacious and safe gardens, is an ideal base for a family holiday. This is very much a family home with a games room, free range chickens (and eggs!) swings and a wendy house, and pets made welcome.

Entry from gravelled driveway into slate floored entrance porch. Pretty kitchen with window looking onto the orchard garden, decorated with many delightful plates, wooden fronted units, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, table with seating for four, small dresser. (Use of automatic washing machine and large deep freeze, in separate area.) Small utility room for storage. Attractive sitting room with open stone fireplace (also an electric fire inset), chintz covered three piece suite, books, pictures and ornaments. TV and video. Window overlooking the court-yard. Open tread stairs lead to spacious landing. Pretty double bedroom (4ft 6in bed) with cane furniture and fitted wardrobes inset with a vanity unit. Views across the gardens. Further 'L' shaped bedroom with small double bed (4ft), plus 3ft single bed, fitted cupboards and dual aspect windows. Well appointed bathroom with bath, separate electric shower, basin, WC and electric wall heater.

Outside: Immediately in front of the property is a sunny, enclosed shared gravelled courtyard with benches. To the side an attractively designed secluded garden with wrought iron furniture and garden lighting ideal for outdoor dining. This garden leads to half an acre of level lawns and orchard with swings, wendy house, picnic table and further access to fields, one adjoining the garden, the others a short distance away. Sun loungers and barbecue supplied. Games room with full size pool table, darts and table tennis.
