Maelcombe House where the owners live when not travelling, built at the turn of the century, is situated at the end of a three quarter mile steep private track in a magnificent position within its own twenty five acres of gently sloping gardens and paddocks extending down to the beach. Set in these glorious surroundings and shared between the three properties, Maelcombe features a private swimming pool complex. The indoor heated swimming pool 30ft x 13ft, with wonderful sea views, extends below the house with sloping lawns to one side that extend down to the sea. Sauna, shower, WC and changing facilities. All this and an all weather tennis court too! The area, surrounded by farmland and National Trust land, is classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Well away from the bustle of busy holiday traffic, it generates an aura of peace and tranquillity. Naturalists enjoy the wealth of resident species, such as the rare cirl bunting, moths, butterflies and flowers. Ramblers delight in coastal walks of breathtaking beauty and families may explore the beach with its acres of rock pools. Lobster and crabs are caught off the beach and excellent fishing may be enjoyed. Kingsbridge and Salcombe are both nearby. Riding, golfing and sailing are available locally. Swimming Pool open 10am , 6pm.

The second floor of Maelcombe House is divided into two mirror image, totally self-contained exclusive apartments. The owners have spent a great deal of time ensuring that their guests lack nothing, the emphasis being on relaxation and comfort.

The wing of this beautiful, large country house has been separated off completely to provide delightful two-storey accommodation with its own small garden which has the benefit of the amazing views over this stunning piece of coastline. It has a wonderful, restful atmosphere and for those seeking seclusion, in what we believe to be one of the most spectacular settings in Devon, it cannot be bettered.
Drawing room/dining room with elegant fireplace housing woodburner, sofa-bed, very comfortable sitting and dining room furniture, TV and DVD player. Door to porch and garden. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine. First floor: Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Twin bedroom with shower and basin. Cloakroom with WC and basin.
Outside: Small, private garden with garden furniture, sun loungers and barbecue. All weather tennis court and 25 acres of grounds and woodland, shared with the 2 apartments and the owners. Indoor swimming pool.
