This remarkable stone and cob building, part of Beara Farm, is set in the most peaceful and secluded countryside imaginable and has been renovated to an extremely high standard from the original "Old Shippon" transforming it into the quaint, enchanting and characterful cottage it is today. With original oak beams, flagstone floors with rugs, stripped pine doors, unusual light fixtures and spacious upstairs living area, ensures that it provides a charming, comfortable, immaculate and unusual property in which to spend a holiday in a lovely rural setting. The Old Shippon is furnished in a most appealing farmhouse style and includes some old farming artefacts that decorate the bright white walls. Surrounded by beautiful, rolling countryside gives one the feeling of being miles away from anywhere, but it is actually only a short distance from the North Devon coast and resorts of Westward Ho! and Instow, making it an excellent base from which to walk and explore, or drive to the many activities and picturesque villages that are located in this special part of Devon.

Entrance through ancient stone archway and large pine front door into hall with flagstone floor and oak beamed walls and ceiling. Ground floor double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, pine furniture and window seat. Twin bedroom with two 3ft single beds, pine furniture and deep window recessed into thick stone wall. Pretty bathroom with panelled bath, electric shower over, basin and WC. Under stairs cupboard housing washer/dryer. Stripped pine staircase leads up to a spacious very light and airy open plan living room with high A framed ceiling which is quite a feature of the cottage with old oak beams, skylight windows and spotlights. Sitting area with two "Knowle" sofas, rocking chair, large wood-burning stove, stripped pine flooring with rugs and double French windows (with safety rail) providing delightful views overlooking the pond with geese and fowl, to open countryside beyond. Dining area with pine table seating 4. Kitchen with granite worktops, butler's sink and pine drawers and cupboards, electric cooker with extractor hood above, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Outside: Reached by a farm track a third of a mile from the road, the cottage has a private area with garden furniture and views to the pond and across the fields beyond.
