Within the mellow ancient walls the light, spacious living areas have large windows that overlook the low walled gardens with meadows and hills beyond. The beautifully finished kitchens and bathrooms, fine oak and slate floors, slate window sills, gothic style wall lamps and bedsteads and handsome comfortable furniture combine to make these exceptional properties. Situated on the outskirts of the charming town of Modbury with its dignified terraced houses and enticing old fashioned shop windows that give it a timeless character. This little town is a hive of activity and is readily accessible to wonderful beaches at Wonwell, Mothecombe and Bigbury, and only half an hour from Dartmoor or the historic City of Plymouth. Garden furniture and barbecues are supplied. The barns are located at the end of a quiet unmade road.

Separated from Old Traine Barn by an enclosed courtyard with entry through full size double wrought iron gates. Steps lead up to the front door to hallway. Upstairs to large open plan living room with superbly fitted kitchen area, built-in gas hob and oven, built-in butler's sink, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Circular dining table to seat 6 and sofa, chairs and corner woodburner, TV and video. Steps up to French doors that open to a paved patio and the garden. Downstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with hanging space. Adjacent is a shower room with large shower cubicle, basin and WC.


Outside: The cottage has a small patio area and fenced lawn that overlooks a farm lane and nearby farm buildings.

Old Traine Barn and Cottage may be let separately, but are ideal for large family groups of up to 14 persons when let together (availability permitting).

Duvets, pillows, bed linen (not towels), cot, high chair, summer electricity, gas and initial logs for woodburners all included. Beds are standard 4ft 6in doubles and 3ft singles.
Winter heating end September to Spring Bank Holiday £15 per week.
