Toad Hall Cottages

Pond Cottage is a charming converted barn set in the beautiful grounds of Higher Coombe Farm tucked away in an idyllic peaceful valley nestling amongst tall trees with several fish and wildlife ponds. Secluded and private, whilst a short drive to the bustle of Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Totnes, makes this non working farm a haven for walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and families. Children will love the special play areas, the games room and the safe enclosed gardens. Pets are very welcome here too, with dog sitting by arrangement and facilities are available for a nominal charge, which may be suitable for some dogs to be left during the day.
For extended families Duck End (see page 103) provides delightful additional accommodation for up to 3 persons.

Accommodation:
A covered porch leads into the open plan living room and kitchen. The attractive sitting/dining area features a large window with seating that overlooks a pond and woodland, comfortable sofas, TV, VCR, DVD, CD player and lots of videos, books and magazines. The dining table seats 6. A feature gallery is reached up sturdy open tread steps to provide a cosy extra seating/play area. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric hob and oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Washing machine and tumble dryer are available in a laundry room in a converted pig sty opposite the barn, shared with Duck End. Downstairs: Compact double bedroom (4ft 6in bed) with basin and en-suite shower room and WC. Twin bedroom (second bed stored for single occupancy) and a bunk bedroom. Second shower room with basin and WC.

Outside: Private totally enclosed lawned garden with plenty of space to play. There are separate play areas with swings and a slide, table tennis and a trampoline (for use at guests' own risk). Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the 30 acres of grounds with wonderful ponds/lakes, streams, fields and woodland.
A barn games room located at the rear of the cottage is equipped with sofas, games, children's toys and a train set.

Central heating (oil) end September to Spring Bank Holiday £20 per week.
Cot & high chair available by arrangement.
Pets: Dogs are welcome. Use of leads is requested outside the cottage garden. Pet charge £20 per pet per week.
