Rora View is peaceful and secluded, a splendid architect designed house set in a unique hilltop position and commands magnificent all round scenic views over the valley below and surrounding moorland and countryside. This fascinating property, a delight both inside and out, has very spacious, attractive, well furnished and equipped rooms, most with polished wood floors, a superb first floor deck balcony and is set in 20 acres of land through which there are plenty of good walks. The land is a Eucalyptus plantation, so not only can one enjoy the sight and sound of these beautiful trees, but sleep soundly in the knowledge that they provide the zoos of Europe with fresh feed for koala bears!
Ten minutes' drive from the A38, the main artery to the whole South West, the house is very well placed. Close to beaches at Shaldon and Teignmouth, only minutes to Haytor on Dartmoor, and the nearby arts and craft town of Bovey Tracey is itself a gateway to Dartmoor and the beautiful Teign Valley.
This is an outstanding property with very flexible accommodation - offering a perfect environment for a relaxing holiday for larger families or groups.

Upper level accommodation:
Large entrance hallway. Inner hall with cloaks cupboard. Fabulous living room with large stone fireplace inset with a woodburner, large comfy leather sofas, rugs and wide screen TV with DVD. Glazed patio doors open to the wide deck balcony with fabulous views and amply furnished with table and chairs. The kitchen area is separated from the lounge by a polished granite breakfast bar with stools, and has a large Rangemaster cooker with 5 ring gas hob, double oven and grill, integral fridge/freezer and microwave. Adjoining utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Separate dining room with table to seat 8. Large master bedroom with 5ft double bed, fitted cupboards, glazed doors to the balcony and a superb luxury en-suite bathroom with double ended bath with central taps, large corner shower, basin in vanity unit and WC.

Lower Level accommodation:
Stairs down to the lower level inner hallway. This level has its own front door from the driveway. Magnificent sitting room with tiled floor, rugs, wood burner, handsome leather sofas, widescreen TV with video and patio doors to the terrace amply furnished with teak furniture. Well-fitted kitchen with antique pine units, an oil fired Sandyford range with double oven and twin hobs, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and dining table to seat 6. Off the inner hall are three bedrooms. Two double rooms, one with 5ft bed, the other a 4ft 6in bed and patio doors to the garden, both with fitted cupboards. Twin bedroom with 3ft beds, cot and garden views. Separate shower room with very large enclosure including a rose head shower, hand shower and body jets, basin and WC. Family bathroom with bath, basin and WC.

Outside: Each area of the house has its own entrance and driveway.
The upper level has ample parking with steps down to the front door and a tiled terrace that overlooks the views with garden furniture and gas barbecue.
A further drive leads around the side of the house to the lower level with ample parking. The terrace extends out from the ground floor lounge, partly shaded by the balcony above and fenced level lawns extend around two sides of the house. A lower grass terrace is approached through a gate and down some steps. Gas barbecue provided plus a traditional built-in barbecue and large trampoline (for use at own risk). All weather table tennis table available.

Duvets, pillows, bed linen, towels, cot, high chair, large basket of logs, summer electricity and heating included.
Central heating (oil) from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week.
Security Deposit £25 per head.
Telephone for emergencies only. Mobile reception good. Broadband and internet access available on site.
Pets: By arrangement with the owners and THC with £100 security deposit. Dogs are to be kept in the front porch of the house and not left unattended (without prior consent from the owners). Pet charge £20 per pet per week.

Beach at Shaldon 10 miles. Village of Ilsington 15 minutes walk along historic track with pub (good local home cooking) and small shop. Local hotel with tennis courts & indoor pool.
PO/shop at Liverton half a mile. Bovey Tracey with outdoor swimming pool and Ashburton within 4 miles.
