Toad Hall Cottages

This 400 year old thatched cottage, with its own quay, enjoys a unique and secluded location on the estuary beach at Dittisham. Marvellous river views from all rooms, except the kitchen and bathrooms. Flagstone floors with scatter rugs, exposed timbers, open fireplaces and stripped pine furniture complement the cottage's 'olde worlde' charm. Steep access path at high water. Not suitable for elderly or infirm, young children will need supervision. If you are not one of Smugglers Cottages' many previous guests, due to its idiosyncracies it is essential that you speak to Toad Hall Cottages prior to booking.

Accommodation
Hall with door to terrace, desk and phone. Attractive sitting room with inglenook fireplace, TV and video. Spacious dining room with solid fuel stove and door to terrace. Study with piano. Fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Upstairs: Master double bedroom with 3ft beds that can either be zipped together to form kingsize bed or separated to form twin beds (kingsize duvet or 2 single duvets), patio door to garden. Adjoining bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Further 2 double bedrooms both with 4ft 6in beds, one twin bedroom (3ft beds). Bathroom with bath, basin, WC, hand shower and heated towel rail.

Outside: Small garden. Terrace with garden furniture table and bench.

Bed linen and towels may be hired through THC.
Electricity summer £30 a week, end Sept. to Spring Bank Holiday £40 a week.
Heating night storage in all downstairs rooms and 2 bedrooms, electric fan heaters (coal available at local garage). Logs available by pre-order.
Pet charge £20 per pet per week.
Security deposit £100
Parking on beach at low tide (4 x 4 type vehicles cannot pass under bridge at low tide - a key is provided which will allow bridge to be raised). Car park in village at high tide.
