Easton House, once a country hotel, is now divided into a small group of cottages and apartments that all nestle in the tiny rural and peaceful hamlet of Easton just 2.5 miles from the gorgeous sandy beaches of Bigbury on Sea and with the beautiful Avon estuary within walking distance. Swallow's Loft is a detached chalet-style property that has been converted to a high standard with quality fittings and furniture. This rather unusual cottage is particularly suitable for couples, a lovely spot to escape to with the bonus of a delightful thatched log cabin in the garden.
Accommodation
Front door to hallway and carpeted stairs to the living room. The sitting area has a leather sofa and chairs, wood burning stove, TV/video and French doors to a small and sunny, enclosed, paved patio. The kitchen area has high quality fitted 'shaker' style units with beech worktops, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, ceramic hob and electric double oven, microwave, a breakfast bar with 4 stools and views across surrounding fields populated with ponies and sheep. Under the apex of the roof is a mezzanine level fitted with safety glass panels and stair gate and reached by a sturdy pull-down ladder. There is standing room under the apex but mind your head at the sides! The mezzanine is provided with a 5ft extra deep mattress. To one side of the living room is a tiny, very smart shower room with power shower, basin and WC. On the ground floor is a double bedroom with beamed ceiling, polished floor and 5ft double bed. Adjoining is a superb tiled bathroom with bath, separate large shower enclosure with body jets and spray nozzles, basin in vanity unit, WC and under-floor heating. Separate dressing room with a travel cot.
Outside: From a communal parking area, a gate leads down steps to a paved courtyard with table and bench. Steps lead up the narrow garden to the thatched log cabin which overlooks the group of properties and the surrounding countryside. Garden furniture.
