Thatcher's End is a lovingly restored, very quaint, 'olde worlde', thatched 18th Century cottage, attached on one side and tucked in a quiet, little used lane, opposite a small farm, in the centre of Churchstow. The village, only a couple of miles from the fabulous coastline of the South Hams, is on the main artery between Kingsbridge and Modbury and therefore ideally placed to easily reach places of interest in the area. The cottage is delightful, beautifully furnished and finished to a high standard, a really lovely hideaway for two. This warm and cosy cottage is a special spot for winter breaks.

Accommodation: From the lane the front door opens directly into the most attractive beamed living room that retains many period features including flagstone floors, an exposed stone wall in which is featured an inglenook fireplace inset with a wood burner. The room is most comfortably furnished with a rug, two seater comfortable sofa and chair, a loose leaf table for two, wall mounted flat screen TV with DVD and CD player. A very low arch (mind your head) leads into the well equipped and fitted galley kitchen with bespoke oak units, electric double hob, built in eye level oven, fridge and dishwasher. A stable door opens from here to a paved area alongside the cottage. Off the kitchen is a very smart tiled bathroom with bath, handheld shower over, basin and WC. Narrow and steep spiral stairs rise from the sitting room to a charming open plan bedroom with fitted wardrobe and a 5ft bed.

Outside: A paved area (not enclosed and alongside the lane) outside the kitchen is provided with a bench.

Heating (night storage) end September to Spring Bank Holiday £10 per week.

Parking: The cottage has its own parking bay for 1 car a few yards from the cottage. Further on road parking available close by.

Pub and very well stocked local shop 2 minutes walk. Kingsbridge 1.5 miles. Modbury 5.5 miles.
