The White Cottage is an absolutely delightful quintessential, thatched Devon cottage that has been completely modernised yet retains a wealth of character with lovely features including inglenook fireplaces, exposed timbers, oak doors and floors and an oak staircase. The cottage is beautifully furnished, very well equipped, warm and welcoming with an enclosed garden and parking , a truly delightful base from which to explore this lovely area. South Milton is excellently located and within easy reach of several beaches and just 1.5 miles to Thurlestone, which has a superb golf course and one of South Devon's best beaches with good swimming, wind surfing and rock pools. The Devon coastal path is nearby and there are other lovely walks from the doorstep.

Accommodation

Stable door to the kitchen, a charming room with exposed oak timbers and attractive range of aged pine cupboards, pretty plate rack, a Belfast sink with granite worktop, built in electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and attractive pine settle (see 'Outside' for utility room). Lovely spacious, open plan living room with low beams (tall people mind your head!) with inglenook fireplaces at either end, one an open fireplace, the other a pretty wood burner. The sitting area is most comfortably furnished with large cream sofas, wide screen TV with DVD/CD player and some very appealing lamps and pretty windows that overlook the village street. The dining area has a table to seat 6 and oak stairs to the landing. Two delightful, cosy and carpeted bedrooms with ceiling beams, one has a 4ft 6in bed, the other a 5ft. Pretty bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor off the kitchen and has a 3ft single bed with full size pull out beneath to form a large double or twin beds.

Outside: A gate provides access to the garden from the lane with a gravelled area, lawn and flower borders. Immediately to the rear of the cottage is a very private area with a stone patio, garden furniture and a further area of lawn. An outhouse here has been converted into a very useful utility room with a tiled shower cubicle, WC, unit with a sink and washing machine.

Duvets, pillows, cot, high chair, bed linen, (not towels), electricity included.
Central heating (oil), electricity and initial supply of logs for fires, end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week.
Pets welcome, maximum of 2 well behaved dogs with £100 security deposit. Pets charge £20 per pet per week

Parking
At the rear of the cottage there is parking in front of the garage (not for use) for a maximum of 2 medium size cars. Boat storage by prior arrangement.
Beach at South Milton Sands 1 mile.
Pub and shop at Thurlestone 1.5 miles. Salcombe and Kingsbridge approximately 4 miles.
