Ash Cottage is part of Kilhellan House, a much loved country family home, set deep in the heart of Cornwall within five acres of beautiful grounds that include a superb outdoor heated swimming pool (May to end September). Close to the fine city of Truro and the beautiful sand dunes and beaches of Perranporth and St Agnes , this stunning detached house is very much a period piece of old fashioned charm, very decorative, brimming with books, paintings, handsome fabrics and drapes, good quality antiques and includes plenty of gracious and homely touches.
The cottage has its own private entrance and enjoys picturesque views over the lawns to the pond and countryside beyond . Forming part of the first floor of the house, this comfortable apartment is a real hideaway for couples who want to get away from it all and enjoy this lovely part of Cornwall. A welcome home-made Cornish cream tea is provided on arrival!

Accommodation: A short flight of steps lead up the side of the house to a small vestibule with coat hooks and a door leads into a small, basic kitchen diner with table to seat 4, electric cooker, microwave and fridge with ice box. The spacious sitting room is well furnished with sofa, chairs, TV with DVD and has fine views overlooking the beautiful grounds of Kilhellan House. A door from the kitchen leads into a large bathroom with an avocado suite comprising a large corner bath with shower over, twin basins in vanity unit and WC. A low door from here leads into the cosy bedroom with sloping ceiling and double 4ft 6in bed.

Outside: Immediately outside the cottage is an attractive enclosed private side lawn with table and chairs. Guests also have shared use of the spacious grounds that surround the house and consist of wide lawns, a large pond provided with a rowing boat, a stream and all bordered by extensive fields. A long narrow driveway leads up to the house and extends to a circular area which provides an ample parking and turning area. The partly flood lit grounds are extensive, and the heated outdoor swimming pool, (shared when Kilhellan Cottage is also booked) 30ft x 16ft (open from beginning of May to end September) is within a fenced area, has paved surrounds with tables, chairs, loungers and a changing room with drinks fridge, deep freeze and three barbecues.
