This spacious and comfortable family holiday home nestles in a valley that leads down to Bowcombe creek in South Devon, a pretty stretch of tree lined water that runs under Bowcombe bridge and into the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary.   This sheltered tidal waterway is a haven for wildlife and a Mecca for boating enthusiasts with every type of watersport available. The cottage comes with a tidal mooring suitable for boats up to 4 metres, so guests who bring their own boats can drift down to the vibrant town of Salcombe with its golden beaches or motor a short way up to the quayside at Kingsbridge where you can tie up  alongside the Crabshell Inn for a delicious meal and some liquid refreshment.  Bridge Park Cottage has a large sunny lounge, a spacious farmhouse style kitchen/diner and four comfortable bedrooms - two en suite, as well as a sheltered garden and plenty of parking.  Apart from the estuary and the family beaches that abound in this area, including the surfing beaches of Bantham and Bigbury there are some lovely coastal and country walks. 

Accommodation: Door to porch, ideal for wellies and coats. Hallway and steps down to large kitchen/diner fitted with Rayburn with two hot plates and ovens, (turned off during summer period) ceramic hob and eye level oven and grill, dishwasher, two fridges and microwave.  Large dual aspect lounge with oak flooring, two sofas surrounding a feature open Tavistock stone fireplace as well as two armchairs and a beanbag that face the garden with views over the lane of the surrounding countryside. TV and DVD.   Cloakroom off hallway with WC hand basin and washing machine. From kitchen stairs to separate double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, fitted wardrobe and dressing table.  En suite bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver light. Door to rear sun terrace. From hallway stairs to landing.  Dual aspect master bedroom with 5ft double bed, wardrobe with drawers.  En suite bathroom with bath, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail, shaver point and chest of drawers.  Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds and fitted wardrobe.  Dormitory bedroom with 3ft bunk beds and two 3ft single beds, chest of drawers and hanging rail.  Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point.

Outside:
  Sheltered front lawn overlooking lane and surrounding countryside.  Steps up through safety gate to higher lawn terrace (young children must be accompanied as there is a drop).  Steps lead up around the back of the house to paved sun terrace equipped with garden table and chairs.  Steps down to smaller gravelled terrace with coffee table and chairs. 

Included: Bed linen , (guests must provide their own towels), cot (no linen) and high chair, electricity and oil central heating. Winter heating supplement from end of September until Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week.

Pets: Two well mannered dogs welcome (must remain downstairs).  Pet charge £25 per week.
Pet security deposit: £150
Telephone for incoming and emergency outgoing 999 calls only.  Mobile reception mixed.  WiFi available .
No smoking.
Parking
for up to three cars or two cars and a boat trailer.  Additional on lane parking available a short distance from the house. Tidal mooring for boats up to 4 metres about half a mile from the cottage. (Contact Salcombe Harbour Office for harbour dues).
Beaches: East Portlemouth beaches 4 miles.  Bantham and Bigbury 6 miles.
Shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, banks etc., all in Kingsbridge 1 mile.
