This extremely attractive cottage nestles in the popular village of West Buckland in South Devon, close to the sea and is perched on the side of a hill with fabulous country views and a lovely garden that runs down to a stream. Picturesque West Buckland is full of pretty thatched cottages and is a short walk from Bantham and its wonderful golden sandy beach, perfect for families and a Mecca for lovers of surfing and watersports. The Sloop Inn is within easy walking distance and extends a warm welcome and serves delicious local food and the cottage is conveniently located to allow easy access to all the attractions of the beautiful South Hams. The cottage has a sunny lounge with real fire, a breakfast room overlooking the garden, a master bedroom with a wide balcony that takes advantage of the views and a superb patio area with quality seating, a barbecue and fire pit - perfect for al fresco dining. A path winds down from the cottage, passing a small raised pond to two large lawn areas and a summer house, so the whole house is geared to providing relaxing, outdoor, summer living. A truly special destination.

Accommodation: Front door to hallway. Sunny lounge with patio doors opening onto the terrace, stone fireplace with real fire, two sofas and two armchairs, flat screen TV and DVD. Archway to breakfast room with table and chairs leading to the formal dining room with woodburner stove and light oak table and chairs with seating for 8. Steps down to the kitchen having granite worktops, a ceramic hob, oven and grill, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Stable door to rear terrace. Cloakroom with hand basin and WC and cupboard housing washing machine. Stairs to landing. Master bedroom with 5ft double bed and fitted wardrobes with dressing table. Patio doors to large balcony overlooking the valley. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds, hand basin, chest of drawers and dressing table. Magnificent family bath/shower room with large shower cubicle, raised double ended Jacuzzi bath, hand basin and WC. Smaller twin bedroom with 3ft single bed, additional 3ft pull out truckle bed and wardrobe. 
 
Outside
: Door from lounge to covered seating area overlooking the garden.  Terrace runs along the width of the cottage with steps leading down to a patio area furnished with comfortable seating, table and chairs and a barbecue.  Path winds down past an ornamental pond to a sloping lawn and a Summer House with bar area and barstools . Further fenced area of level lawn bordered by a stream (unfenced).

Included: Bed linen, towels, (guests must provide their own beach towels) electricity and stairgate. Travel cot and high chair by arrangement.  Complimentary basket of logs in winter. 
Heating: Oil fired central heating with open fire in lounge and woodburner in dining room. Winter heating supplement end of September until Spring bank Holiday £25 per week.
Pets: One well behaved medium sized dog by prior arrangement, to be kept downstairs.  Pet charge £25 per week.
Telephone for incoming, outgoing local and emergency 999 calls only, mobile reception poor. 
WiFi available.
No smoking.
Parking
for two medium sized cars off road outside cottage.
Beaches: Bantham two thirds of a mile.  Other sandy South Coast Beaches easily accessible by car.
Golf: Thurlestone Golf Course (handicap required) 1 mile.
Pub: The Sloop Inn ½ mile, Village Inn, Thurlestone ½ mile.
Village shop at Bantham ½ mile.  Kingsbridge with all facilities 3 miles.
