Church Cottage is a pretty, wisteria clad, character Devon cottage (c.1800) set in the South Hams village of Avonwick that nestles on the banks of the River Avon. Surrounded by wooded hills, the village has its own shop and pub. Boasting one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in Britain, Avonwick is just 1.5 miles from the A38, the main artery to the whole of Devon and Cornwall. This charming, well-furnished and recently refurbished cottage is a great base to explore from, with its central location, easy access to Dartmoor as well as the villages and seaside of this beautiful part of South Devon.


Accommodation:
The porch leads into the dining room with dining table and seating for 6 and a solid fuel Rayburn. Charming sitting room with feature inglenook fireplace with a fine granite lintel and inset with a wood burner, two comfortable sofas, easy chair, TV/DVD and iPod Docking Station. Two steps down from the dining room to the kitchen, which has pretty views over the churchyard and is well equipped with blue fitted units, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. An outhouse houses a tumble dryer. Downstairs bunk bedroom with a set of 3ft bunks and a standard cot. Adjacent shower room with electric shower, basin and WC. Carpeted stairs lead up to two bedrooms. Master carpeted bedroom with 5ft bed, pine furniture and large en-suite bathroom, (3 steps down) with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Twin bedroom with polished floorboards, 3ft beds and pretty pine bedroom furniture.

Outside: Small enclosed courtyard with barbecue and table and chairs provided.

Included: Bed linen, towels, cot, high chair, stairgate, electricity and initial supply of coal and logs.  
Heating (night storage) from end of  September to Spring Bank Holiday £20 per week.
Pets: One well behaved dog only welcome. Pet charge: £25 per pet per week.
