It is also within easy walking distance of the shop, cafe and lively Pig's Nose village inn.  East Prawle is Devon's most southerly village and is a paradise for bird watchers and walkers alike, with scenic paths that follow the cliffs along the National Trust Coastline, linking hidden beaches and coves. The sandy beaches of the Salcombe estuary are only a short drive away and a passenger ferry can take you across to the bustling seaside town of Salcombe with its host of inns, restaurants and curiosity shops.  From Salcombe you can also catch The River Maid ferry that lazily steams up to Kingsbridge at the head of the estuary, enabling the visitor to appreciate the beauty of this delightful part of Devon.
