Court Barton Cottages
Peacefully situated in a tiny hamlet in one of the loveliest corners of Devon betwixt Salcombe and Thurlestone are the attractive group of converted Georgian barns that comprise Court Barton. Set in landscaped gardens and grounds of four acres, the cottages surround two courtyards and the majority have superb, uninterrupted views down the valley to the sea at Thurlestone Sands.
The cottages enjoy the use of both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, an all-weather tennis court and the grounds include an orchard and croquet lawn.
Should you wish to leave the comfort of this delightful place, less than a mile away is the beach at Thurlestone Sands, wonderful for sunbathing, swimming and watersports, with the village of Thurlestone itself a little further on with its famous links golf course. The beautiful sailing mecca of the Salcombe estuary with its golden beaches is only 3 miles. This is a gorgeous spot, ideal for walking, golf, bird watching, sailing and all types of watersports.

Each cottage is very comfortably equipped and  furnished in a charming country style. The kitchens are fitted and well equipped with an eye level electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and fridge with ice box. The cottages have TVs with DVD and CD/radio players. All bathrooms have heated towel rails and all bedrooms have fitted cupboards. Outside: Court Barton is approached along a private drive and each cottage has a parking space and there is plenty of visitor parking. Grouped around and accessed from two  courtyards, with  lawns, each
cottage has either its own private terrace or balcony provided with garden furniture. The extensive grounds are enclosed and bordered by fields with outstanding views down to the sea.

Facilities:
-  Outdoor swimming pool. 5m x 9.8m heated and available from May to September weather permitting.
-  Indoor swimming pool. 5.5m x 11m heated and available all year. His and Hers changing rooms. Shower room with basin and WC.
-  Tennis Court. Hard court, set in a peaceful location in the grounds. Rackets and balls provided.
-  Croquet Lawn. Beautifully maintained, perfect for a battle of mallets and wits! Croquet set provided. Built-in barbecue alongside.
-  Reception. This is manned from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday, Thursday and Friday inclusive in high season (in low and mid season Monday and Friday). A comfortable area close to reception is provided with Broadband Wi-Fi and seating for those who wish to catch up on those essential emails (available only during reception open hours). Wi-Fi is accessible around the pool area at all times. WiFi is available in the cottages as well, however this is dependent on signal strength and may vary in each cottage.

Applicable to all cottages (except The Roundhouse):
Bed linen, towels, summer electricity and all on site facilities included. Swimming towels provided at extra charge.
Cots and high chairs available from caretaker by prior arrangement.
Heating (night storage) and electricity from end September to Spring Bank Holiday charged by meter reading.
Pets welcome. Must be well behaved and kept on leads within the grounds. Special dog walking area provided. Pet charge £25 per pet per week.
Telephones: Calls are logged and must be settled before departure at reception.WiFi Broadband (see facilities). No mobile reception. 
No smoking inside the cottages.
Parking: ample parking.
Beach Thurlestone Sands 1 mile. Hope Cove under 2 miles. Shop and pub 1.5  miles at Malborough. Salcombe with shops, pubs, restaurants and beaches 3 miles.

The Lower Courtyard
Five cottages form the quadrangle, three of which have sea views the remaining two have orchard, garden and/or pool views. The reception and outdoor pool are located in this courtyard.
   

Court Barton Cottage No.1 Accommodation: This light and bright cottage, all on one level, has an an open plan living room with attractive exposed ceiling beams, a large comfortable sofa, two generous chair beds, TV/DVD and dining table for 6 . French doors open to a private sun terrace with country views over the orchard towards the tennis court. Fitted kitchen. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Double bedroom with orchard views and twin 3ft zip linked beds. Suitable for partially disabled.
