Driftwood is a thatched cottage in the centre of the village of Malborough, within easy reach of a wealth of sandy beaches, wonderful walks along the magnificent South Devon coastline and the popular family town of Salcombe with all its boating, watersport and shopping amenities. A house for all seasons, Driftwood has been completely refurbished to create a modern country-cottage look, combining contemporary living with Devon period-house charm. An architectural garden laid to patio, including built-in barbecue, provides additional space for sun-lounging and al fresco dining. With its own car parking space, this is a delightful holiday cottage from which to indulge yourself in all this special part of the South Hams has to offer. One you will want to come back to over and over again.

 Accommodation: The front door opens directly into a large living room . This attractive open plan room has low beams (tall people mind your head!) and a feature inglenook fireplace inset with a woodburner. The room has wooden floors, a dining table to seat 6 and a sitting area with a three-seater sofa and chairs. A wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD and CD/radio/MP3 player. Fully fitted tiled kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with icebox, and washer/dryer. Off the rear hallway is a modern fitted bathroom with rose head shower over bath, basin and WC. Carpeted stairs from the living area (please note low headroom) to three bedrooms; a pretty double bedroom 5ft bed with hanging hooks and chest of drawers, a twin bedroom with 3ft wrought iron bedsteads and fitted wardrobe and a bunk bedroom with built-in 2ft 6in bunk beds and sturdy ladder. Please note there is no natural light in this room and it is only suitable for children under the age of 10

Outside: The cottage has its own attractive fenced and enclosed garden that is reached along a communal pathway that also provides access to other gardens. There is an arbour, paved patio area with table and chairs and built-in brick barbecue - a delightful spot for al fresco meals. There is a right of way at one side of the garden to a neighbouring garden.  


Included: Bed linen, (not towels),  high chair, travel cot and  summer electricity, starter logs, further supplies may be purchased in the village.
Heating (electric wall panel heaters) and electricity from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week.
Parking: Designated off road parking space for one car. Further parking on road.

Beaches: Hope Cove beach 2 miles. North and South Sands approx. 2 miles.
Pubs, shop/PO a few yards.
Salcombe 2 miles. Kingsbridge 5 miles.
