Dartmoor National Park in the beautiful county of Devon is a romantic and magical place and this delightful cottage nestles amongst wooded countryside on the edge of the moor, within striking distance of the coast.  There are spectacular views from the lounge over the garden and down the valley to the old mill with the sound of the river drifting up the hill.  This is great walking country and there is also a delightful cycle route which shadows the river Plym down towards Plymouth leaving you no excuse for not packing the hiking gear, strapping the bikes to the back of the car and bringing the dog.  This 1930's bungalow is almost all on one level, apart from a few steps down to one double bedroom and has been sympathetically refurbished with a modern kitchen, a cosy living room with pretty views, 3 comfortable bedrooms and a separate bathroom and shower room.  The cottage has plenty of parking and is surrounded by a large garden with a sunny front terrace, equipped with garden table and chairs, a perfect spot for alfresco dining in the summer.  The garden is home to visiting wildlife, including pheasants, falcons and very occasionally a visiting deer from the moor and the nearby river provides a cool sanctuary on a warm sunny day to paddle or bathe. Celtic Cornwall, the north coast of Devon and the golden beaches of the South Hams are all readily accessible and we can't think of a better place to appreciate true peace and quiet amongst beautiful surroundings. Rock climbing adventure days take place on natural rock at The Dewerstone near Shaugh Prior. This climbing and abseiling adventure on Dartmoor is a great outdoor activity to test your mind and body!
