Located in one of the pretty old streets leading down to the harbour, Glencoe Cottage backs onto the river Pol and has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Ideal as a summer or winter destination this property has a contemporary feel with its natural stone fireplace, perfect for a sitting around on a chilly winter evening, listening to the crackle of a real fire in the hearth. Slate tiles with under floor heating, tasteful furnishings and soft décor all combine to create a cosy cottage ambience. The generous accommodation also includes a twin bedroom set in the eaves, ideal for independent children. At the back of the property an attractive new conservatory opens out to look over the river Pol and the property is a few yards from the many inns, restaurants and interesting shops scattered through this quintessential Cornish fishing village. Price for 2 persons during low/mid season 20% off.

Accommodation: Front door into open plan room with slate quarry tiles, a natural stone fireplace and peninsula unit separating the kitchen. The comfortable lounge has two sofas and easy chair, flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD . The dining area has a round table and chairs for up to 6 guests and is adjacent to the modern kitchen fitted with electric cooker, large fridge/freezer and microwave and washing machine. The back door now opens to a new conservatory 'river room' which has full width windows opening onto the Pol, with sofa and armchairs providing a wonderful additional living area in which to relax whilst listening to the river. Off the conservatory is a new wet room with shower, hand basin and WC. Stairs lead up to the first floor. Small single bedroom , with a 3' single bed. Adjacent family bathroom, with bath (shower over) hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. The double bedroom on this floor has a 4'6" bed and from this bedroom an enclosed stairwell with door leads up to the well proportioned twin bedroom set in the eaves, with two 3' single beds and TV with Freeview and integral DVD.

Parking: One space provided at Violet farm, approximately 10 minutes walk away, uphill. Please Note: Transport into the village from the main car park is either by horse and cart, electric tram or your own two feet, the harbour being approximately half a mile away. Some vehicle access is possible, but not to all parts of the village and is especially difficult during the summer.
Local beach 5 minutes walk. Other South Coast beaches easily accessible by car.
Shops, Post Office, pubs and restaurants , all in Polperro. Looe , with more facilities, 4 miles.
Plymouth 25 miles. Truro 29 miles.
