Dotted around the unspoilt South Hams are numerous pretty little hamlets, tucked away down quiet leafy lanes. Hutcherleigh is one of these and Honeysuckle Barn, a detached property, is a perfect retreat for a small family or couple looking for such luxuries as a heated outdoor swimming pool in summer and a roaring log fire in the winter. A large garden provides an ideal play area for the kids, whilst the adults can enjoy sunbathing around the pool, a well-earned drink or creating a culinary delight on the barbecue. Comfortably and tastefully furnished, the cottage has a lovely ambience with a large open plan living area with beams and a woodburner stove. When you do venture forth, Honeysuckle is so central that you won't have to travel far to take advantage of all the local attractions. The golden beaches of Salcombe, Bantham and Blackpool sands are within 20 minutes drive. The historic port of Dartmouth, with its peaceful wooded estuary leading up to bohemian Totnes is close by and the beautiful Salcombe estuary, with the market town of Kingsbridge at its head is only a few miles away. Dartmoor National Park provides some stunning scenery and walks and a day trip down to Celtic Cornwall should not be missed. Worn out with so much to do, you're going to need feeding up. But don't worry, the owner not only provides a welcome pack on arrival, but she can produce homemade bread, supply free range eggs and bake the most delicious cakes to order so I'd pack some bigger clothes if I were you.

Accommodation:
Glazed door opens into galleried kitchen/diner. Kitchen equipped with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, larder fridge, freezer and microwave. (Washing machine and tumble dryer for guests use in adjoining garage). Dining table and 6 chairs (2 folding). Few steps down to large lounge with 2 seater sofa (converts to 4'6" double bed), 2 armchairs and 2 additional cane chairs,, woodburner stove, TV, DVD, Freeview and stereo CD player. Stairs up to galleried landing overlooking the dining area. Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point. Generous double bedroom featuring exposed beams with two 3' link beds creating a super king size (can be separated if required), dressing table and TV with Freeview. Bunk bedroom with 2'6" wide bunk beds (can be substituted for one 3' single if required).

Outside: Ample parking for 2 cars with extensive gardens extending around property. Heated outdoor swimming pool (32 ft x 16 ft. 8 ft deep at deepest point, open from end May till end of September) with sun loungers and garden table and chairs. Further garden table with bench seating and parasol on gravelled area in front of the cottage. Extensive lawns, which are safe for children.
