The Devon countryside is renowned for its soft beauty, but in contrast you can drive into the dramatic and at times brooding Dartmoor National Park. The nearby historic port of Dartmouth, with its long naval associations is worth a visit as are the pretty market towns of Totnes and Kingsbridge, both nestled at the head of beautiful estuaries. There's a lot to do in the region with a cosy apartment as your base and it all adds up to a perfect holiday destination.
