This beautiful 17th century, traditional Devon thatched cottage has a wonderfully welcoming feel and is a perfect holiday destination for families wishing to holiday in South Devon. Located in the peaceful hamlet of West Buckland, only a short stroll from the fantastic golden sands of Bantham beach it really does offer everything that the discerning guest could wish for. There's a large sunny lounge with an open fire and a spacious dining room to seat up to 10 guests, ideal for those noisy family reunions. Upstairs there are 4 comfortable bedrooms, whilst outside there is a sheltered verandah, where one can enjoy that early morning coffee whilst you plan the day or relax in the evening with a welcome drink. Furthermore there's a private sunny garden and plenty of parking. Bantham beach, at the mouth of the beautiful Avon estuary is famous for surfing and bathing, and two excellent pubs, the Sloop Inn at Bantham or the Village Inn at Thurlestone both provide a convivial atmosphere and delicious meals. There are some wonderful walks to enjoy, particularly the South West Coastal Path which rewards those who use it with some of the most stunning views. Salcombe, just a few miles away, is a haven for boating and has its own sandy beaches and the whole of the beautiful South Hams is right on your doorstep, waiting to be explored. Downstairs cloakroom/shower room, with shower cubicle and WC, perfect for sluicing down after a day on the beach. From the kitchen steep stairs wind up to a double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, fitted wardrobe, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and hand basin with mirror and shaver point. Door to linked twin bedroom (also accessible from central landing), with two 3ft beds, fitted wardrobe, bedside cabinet and chest of drawers. Family bathroom, with small bath, shower over, hand basin, WC, shaver point and heated ladder towel rail. Separate stairs from hall to landing and second double bedroom, with 4ft 6in pine bed, fitted wardrobe, overhead storage cabinets and chest of drawers. Large twin bedroom, with two 3ft beds, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and hand basin with mirror and shaving point. 

Outside:  Stable door from hall to covered verandah with table and chairs overlooking the garden and valley. Steps down to a sheltered garden, which has a small lawn and a sunny south facing paved terrace equipped with sun loungers and garden chairs. Separate walled enclosure with washing line.
