Meadow Barn Cottage, formerly a small stone barn, is a delightful and comfortable cottage , set to one end of a small group of properties alongside the road that leads to the village of East Portlemouth. The cottage overlooks beautiful rolling countryside, fields and meadows. Located in a rural, elevated position, a short distance from the village, an abundance of wild flowers and grasses border the country lanes that weave their way around this quiet backwater of the South Hams. The Salcombe Kingsbridge estuary in one direction and open sea in another make it a wonderful place to explore, within easy reach of the South West Coastal path, sandy beaches and coves, all of which make this part of the coast so popular with holiday makers. At East Portlemouth there is a foot passenger ferry to Salcombe, with its fashionable shops, pubs, gourmet restaurants and picturesque sailing activities.

Entrance from patio into kitchen area of an open plan living room/kitchen . Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and a circular table with seating for 4. Washing machine in utility cupboard under stairs. Living room with 2 seater sofa, easy chair, TV/DVD/video and stairs to upstairs landing. Double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, velux window with views across fields, built-in wardrobe, sloping ceiling with inset spotlights. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds, velux window with views, built-in wardrobe. Sliding door into bathroom with bath, hand held shower, basin and WC.

Outside: A gated path leads from a large gravelled parking area to the patio with views over the neighbouring landscaped garden and large pond. Secluded patio with garden table, chairs and sunshade. Fields and paddocks extending down the valley provide plenty of room to wander with dogs or can be used for children's games.

Beaches Gara Rock, approx ½ mile, 15 mins walk, Millbay about 1½ miles. Nearest shop and pub at East Prawle 2 miles. Ferry to Salcombe about 1½ miles (there can be a queue during summer high season).  Kingsbridge 9 miles.
