Millbay Beach Hut/Boathouse has all mod cons and is a wonderful spot for picnics, sunbathing, storage for beach toys, sunbeds etc. and small boats (there is no accommodation). It is located in an excellent South West facing position overlooking the beach at the north end of Millbay opposite Salcombe. Perfect for use on a beach or boating holiday, with direct access to one of the finest beaches on the beautiful Salcombe estuary, you simply need to arrange overnight accommodation.
There is ample secure parking for 2 cars, or 1 car and a boat trailer. Millbay's National Trust public car park fills up very quickly during the summer months, particularly during the busy Salcombe Regatta weeks in August. 

Facilities:
From the parking area steps lead down to the boathouse and a steep private slipway to the beach.  The boathouse has electricity, running water, fridge, kettle, basic sun loungers, picnic table etc . There are no WC facilities, but the nearest are only 200m down the road at Millbay car park.

Small boats can be carried down beside the boathouse to the beach and larger ones slipped at the public beach access by Millbay car park, or even more easily at the tidal ford back up the estuary road, just south of Goodshelter. Boats can be pulled up overnight on the privately owned section of beach below the boathouse or behind lockable gates on the private slipway. A boat and/or use of the private low water mooring (boat rests on sand at low tide) is available by arrangement with the owners. You could also hire a boat in Salcombe for the week. Guests are respectfully asked to behave responsibly and courteously towards other estuary users.
