Moonriver, a recently converted reverse level barn nestles above Gara Bridge, a quintessential hump-back stone bridge which straddles the River Avon in a deep wooded and peaceful valley, hidden in the very heart of the South Hams.   This comfortable and contemporary property benefits from its own private fabulous indoor heated swimming pool and has a south facing orchard garden and decking with pretty valley views.  This cottage is ideal as a base for a family holiday as it is within easy reach of the many sandy South Coast beaches, the boating havens of Salcombe and Dartmouth, the bustling medieval market town of Totnes and Dartmoor National Park.  Moonriver has a light and airy open plan living area with a woodburner stove, lovely country views, two comfortable bedrooms and new bathrooms, one en suite.  There is plenty of parking so guests could bring their own boat and trailer and remember, if there is a rainy day there's always the pool.

Accommodation:
Door to hallway with coat hooks and stairs up to very spacious and attractive, open plan living room with lovely country views from the windows and furnished with two comfortable sofas (one 2 seat the other 3 seat)), LCD TV with DVD player , a corner woodburner, French windows with Juliet balcony and dining area with oak table to seat 6.  The kitchen area is smart andvery well equipped with electric hob, built-under electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.  From this lovely living room there is a door to a raised deck area with garden furniture.  This extends out into a private apple orchard garden with attractive valley views.   On the ground floor are two bedrooms , one a double with a 4ft 6in bed, wardrobe and  en-suite shower room with shower, basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point; the other a twin room with 3ft beds and wardrobe.  Family bathroom with stand alone bath, hand held shower, basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point. Cupboard with washer/dryer in hallway. 

Outside:
Moonriver has its own private sloping orchard garden and sunny deck with access from the first floor living room.
Indoor Heated Swimming Pool situated on the other side of the courtyard with garden furniture, shower, changing room, WC and hand basin.


Included: Duvets, pillows, bed linen, (guests should provide their own  towels) travel cot, high chair, stairgate and electricity.
Central heating (gas) from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £25 per week. Initial supply of coal/logs for open fires and wood burner included, thereafter for purchase.
Pets: One well behaved dog welcome.  Pet charge £25.00 per week. 
No telephone, mobile reception fair.  Payphone in Pool building. WiFi available through BT/FON area hotspot, charges apply. 
No smoking.
Parking:
A central courtyard provides ample parking for the cottage with room for a medium size boat and trailer.
Lots of sandy beaches from 8 miles.
Pubs at California Cross 1.5 miles; Morleigh 2  miles. Totnes 7 miles. Kingsbridge and the Salcombe estuary 8 miles.
