There are no tell tale signs that Old Post Office Cottage was ever a Post Office, other than it's name, having been carefully renovated and rearranged into spacious and comfortable accommodation. This extended semi-detached cottage is just yards from the village green, access to the South West Coastal path and a short walk to a number of coves and beaches along this beautiful part of the coastline. East Prawle, on the southern tip of the South Hams peninsular is a good example of a quintessential Devonshire village. With its duck pond, farms, pastel coloured cottages and Pig's Nose local, the most southerly pub in Devon, once the haunt of smugglers dating back 500 years. For those looking for a quiet and picturesque location near the coast, this is an ideal cottage.
Accommodation: Gated pathway with covered log store to part glazed front door opening into small entrance porch. Door and step up in to large beamed living room with a 2 seater and a 3 seater sofa, 4 wicker armchairs, grand inglenook fireplace with generous sized woodburner inset, flat screen TV/DVD with Freeview, video and a CD/cassette micro sound system. The room is lit by uplighters and lamps and there's even a marble chess set on display. Door through to kitchen (another step up) with long picture window overlooking grazing land, fitted units and cupboards, electric hob and oven under, microwave, washing machine, small dishwasher and fridge/freezer. At one end of the kitchen is a contemporary black dining table, seating for six and a low level hanging light. At the other, door through to a lobby with WC and basin and back door onto the patio. From the living room another door into downstairs children's bunk bedroom with 3ft bunk beds, hanging space and 2 small chests of drawers. A wide wooden staircase from the living room leads up to a landing with window and far reaching views across the fields. Master double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, built in double wardrobe with
sliding doors, exposed stone chimney breast and deep recessed window. Second double bedroom , slightly smaller with 4ft 6in bed, built in double wardrobe and deep recessed window. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, WC, wall heater and heated towel rail.
Outside: Long narrow enclosed patio area with picnic bench, built in barbecue and wood store. Views across a field.
