Let your worries drift away at Riverside. This gorgeous, detached cottage is situated in the idyllic Teign Valley in a tranquil position alongside the river Teign, which flows from the high tors of Dartmoor through beautiful wooded valleys finally ending up at the sea at Teignmouth. In spring the Teign Valley is known for its wild daffodils, which grow abundantly along the river and in the garden at Riverside. This lovely spot on the Eastern boundary of the Dartmoor National Park is perfect for enjoying lazing in the sunshine, paddling in the river and watching the rich variety of bird life.For the more energetic the Teign Valley offers a popular cycling route up onto Dartmoor through Moretonhampstead and is close to Haldon Forest for its walks and cycle tracks. Canonteign Falls, which boasts the highest waterfall in England is a must with its nature and wildlife trails and a visit to Castle Drogo is also recommended. The cottage, set in its own totally enclosed garden gives easy access to exploring the whole of the South West. Riverside is ideal for families or couples who wish to stay in a beautiful riverside location but also want the option of taking part in a wide range of activities. Welcome pack on arrival .

Accommodation:
Front door into hallway with views of the river. Downstairs shower room with shower, basin and WC. Storage room with chest freezer. Spacious dining room with wooden floors and a table to seat 6. Sliding glass doors lead into a very attractive sitting room with triple aspect windows that extend around the room and soft chintz furnishings and antiques that complement the glorious views out to the garden and river with 2 sofas, chairs, TV with video, stereo/CD player and doors that open to the flower filled patio area and garden. From the dining room an archway leads into a very well equipped kitchen with Aga, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and extra walk-in storage cupboard. Back door leads out to the garden. Carpeted stairs lead up from the hallway to a very spacious double bedroom (5ft bed), matching suite of antique furniture and views of the garden and river. Family bathroom with bath, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Twin room with 3ft beds (these can be pushed together to form a double), pretty dressing table, large fitted wardrobes and views of the river.
Outside: Long private driveway, part of which is reserved for a maximum of 5 caravans (Caravan Club members). These in no way impinge on Riverside, which is approximately 200 yards further on and out of sight. Private parking area for at least 3 cars in front of the property, which also has a large unfenced pond with seating alcove. The cottage has its own private patio filled with flowers and mature shrubs, a picnic bench and 2 further unfenced ponds with water fountain and steps leading up to the top enclosed lawn. The lawned area at the back of the cottage leads down to a gate, which opens onto a delightful seating area right beside the river. Note: Toddlers and children will require careful supervision outside the property due to the river and the ponds.
