Seacombe Cottage, a recent conversion from a detached barn, is set in a small cluster of properties that sit alongside the lane that leads down to East Portlemouth. The owners have taken immense trouble to ensure this cottage is of the highest quality. Tiled floors, oak doors, smart contemporary furniture and fittings all combine to provide exceptional comfort. The large enclosed gardens extend out to mown fields that enjoy great country views towards Dartmoor. 1.5 miles from the cottage is Salcombe, with its shops, quays, restaurants and pubs, easily reached by the East Portlemouth passenger ferry . There are glorious coastal and country paths through National Trust land and in summer the estuary becomes a boat lovers haven, mixing luxury yachts, powerboats and racing dinghies. Lazy summer days can be spent on the white sands of the beautiful estuary beaches of Mill Bay and Sunny Cove.

Accommodation:
Front door into hallway off which is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and larder fridge. Shower room with wet room shower, basin and WC. Door into very spacious fabulously equipped kitchen/diner that features a large gas range cooker with a wok burner, gas rings, grill and double ovens, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. The dining table seats 8 (or up to 12 with extension leaves), there is a radio/CD player and French doors to the patio garden at the rear. Door into the smart sitting ro om with two large leather sofas and chair, a stone hearth with wood burner, widescreen TV with video/DVD and plenty of videos, books and games. Steps up to bright garden room with large leather sofa, Lloyd loom chairs and French doors to the courtyard. Stairs to landing. Two bunk rooms, both with 3ft full size bunk beds and radio/CD players. Smart family bathroom with double ended bath, central taps, shower over, basin and WC. Double bedroom with hanging hooks and 5ft bed. Master bedroom with 5ft bed, hanging hooks, garden and country views and an en-suite shower room with large double shower, basin and WC.

Outside: Gated entrance into gravelled courtyard in front of the property that opens out to the gardens at the rear. A side gate leads to the rear, paved courtyard with garden furniture. Grass walkways open out to lawns with shrubs, a pond and extend on to a huge meadow in all three acres with wonderful country views. Small barbecue. 


Included: Bed linen, (not towels, except for overseas visitors), cot, high chair, initial supply of logs, summer electricity and heating.

Security Deposit £200. £25 surcharge for failure to recycle rubbish.
