Close to the most southerly part of Devon and spectacular Start Point is the pretty little hamlet of Kellaton. Nearby, in an elevated position, hidden away amongst mature trees nestles Simla, a welcoming and spacious detached bungalow equipped with a cosy woodburner, surrounded by a large garden with extensive lawns and superb uninterrupted views across rolling pastureland that slopes down to the sea at Hallsands. This is a great location for walking and enjoying the seaside, with the South West Coastal path giving access to some spectacular scenery as well as the many golden sandy beaches and coves that surround the Salcombe estuary. Unspoilt Lannacombe beach is an enjoyable 1½ mile walk away and a short drive brings you to the pretty coastal village of Beesands, where you can buy fresh local fish or enjoy them ready prepared at the popular Cricketers Inn overlooking the beach. The Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve and the long shingle beach of Slapton Sands is nearby, as are the historic Naval port of Dartmouth and the pretty market town of Kingsbridge. Family leisure activities abound and Simla is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of this very sought after holiday destination.
Accommodation:
Porch opens into hallway and into a light, bright and comfortable lounge/diner with large windows overlooking garden. Three 2 seat sofa's surround woodburner, with oak table and chairs for 6 adjacent to kitchen. Kitchen equipped with electric cooker, with ceramic hob and oven/grill, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, (washing machine in sunroom) and microwave. Off the kitchen is a sunroom with table and chairs, ideal for early morning coffee and leisurely breakfast with patio doors to the garden. Off the lounge, double bedroom with 4'6" double bed. Off hallway, family bathroom with bath (shower over) hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. Master double bedroom, with 5' double bed and a twin room, fitted with two 3' single beds with hanging pegs for clothes.
Outside: A large garden surrounds the property with lawns and beds planted with shrubs. Patio area in front of house with garden furniture and a further patio with table and chairs situated at the top of the garden with lovely views.
Property: Self-Catering Holiday Bungalow.
Included: Duvets, pillows, bed linen (not towels), standard cot, high chair and summer electricity.
Heating: (LPG gas), from end of September to Spring Bank Holiday, £15.00 per week.
Pets: 2 small/medium sized dogs. (Please note that the property is surrounded by farmland and dogs must be kept under control at all times). Pet charge: £25 per pet, per week.
